In these worrying times and with the whole world currently suffering from the awful effects of the Coronavirus pandemic – I welcome you to the creation of bme blogs.

Our communities need us more than ever now and my offering of bme blogs is to provide a platform for Black, Asian and other Minority Ethnic mental health practitioners to reach out that little bit further and offer their own words of advice, support and upliftment.

Creating this blog page was always on the cards for BME Voices and it was always going to be a platform for us to share our own thoughts and ideas in relation to mental health. Ultimately, it’s another space for us to offer a different perspective – the BME perspective.

This first series of blogs will, of course, be centred around the Coronavirus pandemic and will involve a number of interviews and articles.

I sincerely hope that you find this blog page supportive, meaningful and interesting. Also, if you haven’t already, please don’t forget to subscribe to our BME Voices newsletter so you can get notification of when the blog posts are published.
